Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania,it is located in Manyara region .The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park .Located slightly off the main safari route,Tarangire National Park is a lovely,quite park in Northern Tanzania.It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere.
With a gaming viewing area that is roughly ten times the size of nearby Manyara NP and a concentration of game that is exceptional from july through to october,this seasonal Tanzania safari park is a little gem on the Northen safari circuit especially if you love elephants.
The Tarangire region is known for its populous herds of elephants and large numbers of baobab trees, in turn home to the African tree-climbing python.
Over 550 species of birds make their home in Tarangire Swamps, making it one of the most important breeding grounds in the world.
