Day 01 : Arrive Chennai

Arrive Charming Chennai, known as the gateway to Southern India. On arrival Uday Tour Representative will meet and greet you at the airport. Later Chauffeur transfer to hotel. On arrival check in at the hotel. Our Team member will help you with check in and also share complete documents and vouchers at the hotel. Later evening free for relax. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : In Chennai

Today morning enjoy visit to to KANCHIPURAM, one of Hinduism’s seven most sacred cities. This “Golden City of a Thousand Temples” dates back to the early Cholas in the second century. Only around 70 temples of the original temple complex are still intact and the most famous is the Kailasanatha Temple built of sandstone in the early seventh century. Kanchipuram is famous for silk weaving and a visit to the nearby villages to see the craftsmen at work on their looms is rewarding experience.
Later afternoon return back to Chennai and enjoy half-day city tour, which allows you to get a feel for the country’s classical, ancient and spiritual sides. Visit the Government Museum and Art Gallery as well as the famous Kapaleeshwarar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Then enjoy a scenic drive past historic Fort St George, the magnificent Marina Beach and the pristine Santhome Cathedral.
The Government Museum and the National Art Gallery form part of a cultural-historical complex that is the pride of Chennai. The museum is the second oldest in India and is housed in an Italianate red sandstone rotunda. It has sections dedicated to archaeology, zoology, natural history and sculptures as well as a priceless rare coins collection. The gallery is housed in an imposing Indo-Saracenic building and boasts collections of Indian miniature paintings and tanjore panel paintings, which often feature gold foil.
Visit the Kapaleeshwarar Temple and admire stunning stucco of the 57 metre-high gopuram (gateway steeple). A temple has stood on this site since the seventh century though the multicoloured gopuram dates from 1906. Look around and take in the intricate detail of this magnificent paean to the Lord Shiva. Access beyond outer courtyard is reserved for Hindus.
Also drive through Chennai pass Fort St George, which was built by the British to protect their position, and Marina Beach, the second-longest beach in the world as well as glisteningly white Gothic revival Santhome Catholic Cathedral. Day 03 : Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry

Today morning enjoy breakfast later leave by surface for Pondicherry, On the way to Pondicherry stop at Mahabalipuram. “MAHABALIPURAM” famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore lies an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples which are an example of Dravidian style of architecture.
Arrive Puducherry, a quiet little town on the southern coast of India. The unmistakable French connection, the tree lined boulevards, the quaint colonial heritage buildings, the spiritual sceneries, the endless stretches of unspoilt virgin beaches and backwaters and a surprising choice of restaurants serving a melange of cuisines provide a heady mix of experience that draws travellers from near and far to the city. Day 04 : In Pondicherry

Day 06 : Pondicherry – Tanjore

Morning leave by surface for Tanjore. On arrival check into hotel. Afternoon half day city tour of Tanjore visit the beautiful Chola Temple of Brihadeeshwara. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 : Tanjore – Trichy

Day 08 : Madurai

Afternoon half day sightseeing tour visiting the great Meenakshi Temple, Later, visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace –a gracious building in the Indo Saracenic Styule, famous for the stucco work on its domes and arches. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 : Trivanderum

Morning breakfast, latter leave for Trivandrum –the capital city of Kerala, Sough India. En route you have golden opportunity to visit Kanyakumari. Arrive Trivandrum and if time permit Discover the beauty, heritage and culture of Trivandum, India’s ‘evergreen city’. We take you to a fascinating museum, an art gallery with a priceless collection of oriental works and a historic Hindu temple, one of the most sacred in the country.
Visit the renowned Napier Museum, which is located in an architecturally significant building that combines the Mughal, Kerala, Chinese and Italianate styles. One of the building’s stand-out features is its natural air-conditioning system. The museum offer glimpses of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage and boasts an excellent collection of bronze historic ornaments, ivory carvings and chariots as well as life-size figurines of traditional Kathakali dancers in full costume.
Continue to the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, where you can admire a collection of paintings from the Rajput, Mughal and Tanjore schools of art. The gallery also houses rare paintings by Raja Ravi Varma, Svetoslav Roerich and his father, Nicholas. The collection of oriental paintings from China, Japan, Tibet and Bali provides a visual reminder of just where you are.
Cap of your tour with a visit to Padmanabha Swamy Temple, a visually stunning blend of Kerala and Dravidian style of architecture. The temple is famed for its mural paintings and the intricate stone carvings of its roof. It is one of just 108 sacred Vishnu temples in India and the presiding deity is Lord Vishnu, reclining on Anantha, the Serpent. Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple and in prescribed dress code.

Day 10 : Houseboat

Morning after breakfast visit Sree Padmanabhapuram Swami Temple and Kanakakunnu Palace later on time leave for Alleppey where you will check in houseboat. Overnight at the house boat.

Day 11 : Cochin

Morning after check out later on time leavefor Cochin – The commercial capital of Kerala. Later day free for relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 : Mumbai

Morning half day city tour to visit the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, (closed on every Friday & Saturday) Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Church.

Day 13 : Leave Mumbai

Morning half day excursion across the harbour to the world famous 1200 years old ELEPHANTA CAVES dedicated to Lord Shiva. These ancient Shiva cavesback to 5th century BC. It’s a 2 hour ferry ride through the Arabian Sea (two and fro) from the gateway of India. It would be an enchanting and a divine experience to see and understand the different forms of Lord Shiva!
Afternoon enjoy half day sightseeing tour of Mumbai. Later on time transfer to airport for flight back home.
