Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Oslo in a northern direction – you will drive alongside the largest lake in Norway, namely – Mjøsa. You will drive on the E6, passing the charming cities of Hamar and Lillehammer. A stop at the Maihaugen Eco museum in Lillehammer is recommended. Continue north until you reach Ringebu. In Ringebu we recommend a visit to the Stave church – a church dating back to the middle ages.

Breakfast at the hotel. Our recommended driving itinerary is to follow the Gauldalen valley in the direction of Storen and Trondheim. Trondheim is Norway’s third largest city and was the first capital of Norway. Trondheim continues to be the coronation city of Norway. We recommend a visit to the Nidaros cathedral built over the grave of St. Olav. Next to the cathedral you will find the Archbishop’s palace, the oldest secular building in Scandinavia.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today your journey continues along the scenic road, passing mountain ranges and the ocean. Drive along the valley on Sumadal until you see the Halsafjord. Cross the ferry from Halsa to Kanestraum. From Kanestraum continue along the road to Kristiansund. Kristiansund is a costal city, surrounded by beautiful parks. 

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart Kristiansund along the Ocean road crossing the Kristiansund – Bremsnes ferry you will arrive in Norway’s rose city, Molde. Cross the Romsdalsfjord between Molde and Vestens. Enjoy the scenery and end your day in Ålesund.

The city centre is built in art nouveau style and you will discover an abundance of imaginative ornamentation on the fronts of the buildings. With the channels and small stone houses, this is definitely a city worth exploring. Ålesund’s surroundings are just as beautiful as the city itself. Walk up the 418 steps to the top of Mount Aksla and you will be rewarded by unforgettable panoramic views !

Breakfast at the hotel. Today your journey takes you passed the Norddalfjord between Linge and Eidsdal. Continue driving south until you reach the village of Geiranger. Enjoy the cruise on the Geirangerfjord between Geiranger and Hellesylt. The Geirangerfjord is known as the pearl of the fjords. Continue south until you reach Loen.

Breakfast at the hotel. En-route from Loen to Hafslo, you will pass two glaciers: in Olden you will pass the the Briksdal glacier and then in Skei you will pass the Jostealen glacier. Continue along the scenic road until you reach Sogndal.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today your itinerary continues south. The ferry crossing from Kaupanger to Gudvangen (approximately 2 hours) allows you the opportunity to travel over the world’s longest and deepest fjord. Continue the road along the canyon of Stalheim until you reach Voss.

Breakfast at the hotel. From Bergen drive along the ‘garden of Norway’, the Hardangerfjord until you reach Ulvik. Ulvik is a small village cherished by artists. Ulvik is home to an annual arts exhibition. Cross the Eidfjord via the Hardangerbridge and continue your journey east. We recommend a stop at the Voringfoss waterfall, the tallest waterfall in Norway. Continue your route across the Hardangervidda plateau which is eternally covered in snow.
